Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., has in its collection Asian art and pieces of German Meissen porcelain. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advanced notice for no extra charge. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. PITTSBURGH

National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents penguin chicks, which were born Dec. 16 and 20. The Aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aviary admission is $14 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and children ages 2 to 12. Some activities cost extra. Call 412-323-7235 or visit www.aviary.org.

Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, Allegheny Square, continues “Tough Art” through Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays. Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave. in Oakland, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except closed Tuesdays. Extended hours are until 8 p.m. most Thursdays.
