Woman gets ARD in cop assault case
A Butler woman was placed into the county Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program in Butler County Court on Tuesday, after being charged with assaulting police officers in January 2017.
Asia E. Basham, 20, was placed into the program for 12 months on the charge of misdemeanor driving under the influence by President Judge Thomas Doerr.
She was also ordered to pay court costs, complete drug and alcohol evaluations and assessments, attend an Alcohol Highway Safety School, complete the county litter pickup program and attend a Victim Impact Panel.
Basham was initially charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor resisting arrest, DUI and summary underage drinking after a one-vehicle wreck in the 100 block of Morton Avenue on Jan. 8, 2017.
