Sparn, Morfenski

Stephen Morfenski and Katherine Sparn

A May 19 wedding is being planned by Katherine Elizabeth Sparn and Stephen David Morfenski, both of Oil City.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Louise and Jack Dunham of Grove City and Karl Sparn of Slippery Rock. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mary and David Morfenski of Penn Run.

The future bride is a 2010 graduate of Slippery Rock High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education in 2014 and a master’s degree in reading specialist in 2017, both from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

She is a fourth-grade teacher for the Oil City School District in Oil City.

Her fiancé graduated in 2001 from Meadville High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and economics in 2006 and a master’s degree in special education in 2015, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

He is a special education teacher at Franklin Senior High School in Franklin.
