Weather a factor in Center TWP wreck
Winter weather likely was a factor in a one-vehicle crash that injured a man this afternoon in Center Township, authorities said.
State Police are investigating but an accident report was not immediately available.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, lost control of his Ford Explorer about 1:50 p.m. while traveling down slush-covered Lions Road. The vehicle went off the road and into a ditch, rolling on its side and hitting a tree before ending back up on its wheels, emergency crews said.
The driver suffered minor injuries, said Nathan Wulff, chief of the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department. A Butler Ambulance Service crew tended to him. He told officials that he would seek treatment at the hospital on his own.
The vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed.
