NWS extends flood warning until 5:30 p.m.

Flooding near Willow Road and Hartman Road.

The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for Butler County until 5:30 p.m. Friday. The estimated rainfall for the storm is 3-inches and flooding has been reported throughout the county.

The following schools in Butler County have announced schedule changes due to inclement weather:

--Butler School District: All Friday evening activities cancelled. The district will be closed on Saturday.

--Freeport School District: All Friday after school activities cancelled. All campuses closed Saturday.

--Karns City School District: All Friday night and Saturday activities cancelled.

--Mars School District: All Friday evening activitis cancelled.

--Moniteau School District: All Friday and Saturday activities at the high school and elementary school are cancelled.

--Seneca Valley School District: All after-school activities for Friday cancelled. All Saturday events cancelled.

--Slippery Rock School District: All after school acvitives for Friday cancelled.

Boys high school basketball games postponed Friday night:

-- Central Catholic at Butler

-- Seneca Valley at North Allegheny

-- Knoch at Hampton

-- Freeport at Derry

--Clarion-Limestone at Karns City

-- Cranberry at Moniteau

-- Forest Area at Union

-- Slippery Rock at Hickory.

Girls high school basketball games postponed Friday night:

-- Karns City at Clarion-Limestone

-- Moniteau at Cranberry

-- Union at Forest Area.
