The memorial to overdose victims in downtown Butler has generated discussion, and some controversy, among locals.

The memorial, set up recently by volunteers, is at the corner of North Main and North streets on the former Worsley's lot and has 84 crosses to remember the people who have died in the county this year from drug overdoses.
