Driver swerves, winds up trapped in vehicle
A driver swerving to avoid a car that had stopped in front of her wound up trapped when her SUV rolled over during a traffic accident on Pittsburgh Road Friday afternoon.
Police said the driver was alert and conscious at the scene but will be taken to Allegheny General Hospital for further treatment.
After the driver swerved, the SUV struck a rock on the side of the road and landed on the driver’s side in a culvert. The call came in to responders at 2:19 p.m.
