BUFFALO CHARGE

Fenelton United Methodist Church, 810 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, hosts Christmas caroling at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The caroling group also includes the other Buffalo Charge churches, McKee Chapel United Methodist Church and Craigsville United Methodist Church. Weather permitting, the group plans to walk through the community. A bonfire, hot chocolate and cookies add to the celebration.

BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

The Rev. Millie Martsolf provides special music Sunday at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Hannah’s Circle of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, meets at 6:30 tonight.

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has Sunday school and a morning worship service followed by a noon luncheon and a 1 p.m. worship service Sunday.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has senior choir practice at 7:15 tonight.

The third Sunday of Advent worship service at 10 a.m. includes the Sunday school Christmas pageant “Animal Nativity.”

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., marks the third Sunday in Advent with lighting the Advent wreath and special music during the worship service.

Church members lead worship with the adult day program participants at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at LIFE Butler County, 231 W. Diamond St. To participate, arrive at the church by 10:40 a.m.

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., has a parents night out from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday while children have a movie, snacks and a craft.

The Rev. James Steiner, leads the service for the third Sunday of Advent.

The choir rehearses at 9 a.m. Sunday and sings during worship.

The yarn group meets at noon Sunday in the Hall Lounge.

Offering envelopes for 2018 are in the overflow room.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, has a deacon meeting at 7 tonight in the board room.

Guest pastor, the Rev. Tom McMeekin. leads both Sunday services. The services include lighting the JOY candle. There is a congregational meeting at 10 a.m.

WIC meets at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall.

NEW ZION

New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Route 38, five miles north of Emlenton, has a service of carols, candles and Communion at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. For more information, call 724-750-0010.

NORTH MAIN ST. CHURCH OF GOD

The Rev. Matt Reitz of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., provides worship and Communion to residents of Park Manor, 400 Park Manor, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The annual youth Christmas party is from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Loft at North Main. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater or take a plain sweater to decorate at the party. There also is a white elephant gift exchange with a $10 limit.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has its Christmas cookie sale Saturday. To donate or place orders, sign up in the lobby.

The youth group meets at 10 a.m. Saturday to pack food bags at the Evans City food cupboard.

The choir cantata Christmas party is Sunday after the worship service. Take a dish to share, a $3 maximum present to exchange and a Nativity set Christ child for a contest.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill hosts a children’s Christmas party from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 21 at the church’s Butler office in the basement of Kiddie City (330 Whitestown Road.). It is for newborns to kindergarteners. To make a reservation, email brandall@orchardhillchurch.com.

Sunday worship services are at Penn Christian Academy, 199 Airport Road, Penn Township.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

A child lights the Advent candle at the Sunday worship service at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury. The service includes Communion.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., has a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. Special music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Rehearsal for carolers and choristers for the Christmas Eve service is at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21, and possibly the morning of December 23. For more information, contact Deanna Golden.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

The Rev. Dennis E. Protzman is the guest minister for Sunday worship at Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury.

The angels were given to Meals on Wheels. Coupons were given to the American Legion who sends them to military bases overseas.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates the third Sunday in Advent with Holy Communion.

The cause of the month is the Salvation Army. Donate cash to support the organization’s many services.

The church council meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

The Rev. Tiffany Towberman is the guest minister for weekend services at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St. All services include Holy Communion.

The confirmation class meets at 4:30 p.m. Sunday for Christmas caroling. Participants return at 8 p.m.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

The Sunday worship service at Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, includes installation for new church officers.
