LYNDORA — Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will have a free morning retreat at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church hall. All who are interested in gaining a fuller knowledge of authentic, undiluted theology and spirituality of the Nativity of Christ are invited to attend.

The event’s guest speaker is the Rev. Bogdan Bucur, associate professor at McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts in the Department of Theology at Duquesne University. He will speak on “The Ancient of Days is Born as a Baby: Christmas, the Real Deal.”

There will be a question-and-answer session following the presentation, as well as a light luncheon.

VALENCIA — Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., hosts “A Trip To Bethlehem,” a Christmas event for all families, Saturday

At 2 p.m., parents can drop off their children (age 3 months to 12 years) for three hours of interactive Bible stories, games, crafts and a part in a Christmas play. The parents and community are invited to gather at 5 p.m. for “A Trip to Bethlehem: A Christmas Play” performed by the children and youths followed by a community Christmas dinner.

Christ Community United Methodist Church 205 North Duffy Road, will present two plays and special music in the sanctuary beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday. The first play is “Casting Call,” the second is presented by the church’s children. A reception will follow in Oz Hall.

FENELTON — Fenelton United Methodist Church, 810 Clearfield Road, will host Christmas caroling for the Buffalo Charge (Craigsville and McKee Chapel United Methodist churches) at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Participants will gather around a bonfire with hot chocolate and cookies. Weather permitting, carolers will walk through the community.
