Butler Township police release photos of men accused of Walmart stalking

BUTLER TWP — Township police are still looking for information about an alleged stalking incident at the Butler Commons Walmart.

Township police had taken a report from a woman, who said that two suspicious men were following her and her children around the store on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Four surveillance images, showing two individuals, in the parking lot of the store, were posted on social media by the Butler City Police Department Tuesday.

Pictured in the photographs are a white man with reddish-colored facial hair wearing a gray sweat shirt and a Philadelphia Eagles ball cap and a black man with a beard wearing a black hooded sweat shirt. The black man was described as having a teardrop tattoo on his face.

The woman told police that the men never spoke to her or the children while in the store. But when she left and got into her vehicle with the children, the white man approached and tried to open the vehicle's passenger side door.

The woman told police that the door was locked, and she “sped off” after the man tried to open the door.

They were driving a dark-colored Chrysler Sebring with a temporary registration tag on the rear windshield.

Police are still hoping to learn the identities of the two men, though no kidnapping or human trafficking is suspected, Detective Justin Welton said Tuesday.

Anyone with information about the men or the incident, is asked to call the township police at 724-285-9600 and refer to incident 17-06174.
