Nov. 19 — A corruption of minors charge followed an incident at the Walmart store at Butler Commons in which Amanda J. Thomas, 39, and a juvenile male were caught allegedly stealing more than $125 in merchandise. Both were charged with retail theft.

Thursday — A slippery road surface was blamed for an accident just after 2 p.m., when a vehicle driven by Hannah Dunn, 19, of Worthington was unable to stop at the signal at Freeport Road and Center Avenue. Dunn slid into a pickup truck driven by Frank Leslie, 61, of Butler. No injuries occurred, but Dunn’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

Thursday — A rear-end accident in Forward Township resulted in a citation for one motorist.

Frederick E. Harris, 37, of Portersville, was cited for speeding after his 2010 Mercedes-Benz SUV rear ended a 2012 Nissan driven by Ruth P. Wearing, 50, of Evans City. Wearing was stopped on Evans City Road near Ash Stop Road waiting to turn left into a private driveway. There were no injuries.

Monday — State police were called to George Junior Republic in Pine Township for an alleged aggravated assault on a 24-year-old woman. A white male, age 14, was the reported attacker. Police reports did not say if the woman was injured or taken to a hospital. Troopers continue to investigate the incident.

Dec. 1 — Cheryl A. Rosser, 56, of Fredonia backed her 2000 Chrysler Town and Country into a parked 2006 Chevy Malibu while leaving her parking spot at the Dollar General in Coolspring Township. Police cited Rosser for an accident involving damage to a vehicle.
