CLO's 'Christmas Carol' features local connections

Saxonburg native Allison Cahill reprises her role as the ghost who shows Scrooge his past in “A Musical Christmas Carol” opening Friday at the Byham Theater.

PITTSBURGH — A Butler County native and a current resident are featured in Pittsburgh CLO's “A Musical Christmas Carol,” which opens Friday at the Byham Theater.

The 26th annual production of the musical based on the Charles Dickens story will run through Dec. 23.

Saxonburg native Allison Cahill returns to play the Ghost of Christmas Past, as she has before with CLO. She also is playing the roles of Peg and a Charity Worker.

Cahill recently appeared in the roles of Lady Bird Johnson in “Tea for Three,” Queen Elizabeth II in “The Audience,” Mother Superior in “Sister Act,” and Mrs. Eynsford Hill in “My Fair Lady.”

Mark Tinkey of Cranberry Township plays Topper, Vendors and the School Master in this production of “A Musical Christmas Carol,” having previously played Dick Wilkins and Fred.

Tinkey's credits include “Shear Madness” and “I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.” He also has performed with the Pittsburgh Playhouse REP Company, originating the role of Joey in “FBI Girl” and playing Frank in their production of “All My Sons.”

Patrick Page, who has had many roles on Broadway, returns to play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, as he did in the show last year.
