[naviga:h3]Blood drive set for Tuesday[/naviga:h3]

MARS — Mars High School Student Council will sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds and be in general good health.

[naviga:h3]Church hosts cookie walk, fair[/naviga:h3]

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have its annual Cookie Walk and Alternative Gift Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 9. Shoppers can enter the events from the corner of East Jefferson and South Cliff streets.

Customers can select their own assortment of cookies, choosing from several hundred dozen home-baked cookies.

Proceeds from the cookie walk will be divided between Forman Christian College in Pakistan and Saint Andrews mission efforts.

At the same time, Saint Andrews youths will sponsor an Alternative Gift Fair as an international mission project. A wide range of items will be available, all of which will be donated to people in need in developing countries.
