Butler Little Theatre will stage “Boeing Boeing” starting Friday at the theater at One Howard St.

Curtain is at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through Dec. 2.

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Symphony Orchestra will present “Holiday Traditions” with the Butler and Seneca Valley High School choirs on Dec. 2.

Local singer and actor Michael Marra will perform “The Grinch Medley” with the orchestra and choirs.

Marra lived in New York City for 18 years and performed both on and off Broadway before returning to Butler to raise his family.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.

The Butler Art Center will offer its Christmas Art Show and Sale from Dec. 6 to 30.

A reception is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8.

The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays, except holidays.

Three holiday home tours are planned by area groups.

The 28th annual Holiday Tour of Homes presented by the Butler County Symphony Association will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 2. Call 724-283-1402.

Zelienople Historical Society’s 25th annual Christmas Home Tour will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 2. Call 724-452-9457.

Hobnob Theatre Company will be taking this year off from its production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to work on bringing an even better Dickensian Christmas show to the stage next year.

[naviga:h3]Choirs to give benefit shows[/naviga:h3]

The Circle of Friends Singing and Ringing Choirs have five concerts scheduled next month. One is in Cranberry Township, two are in Butler and two are in Zelienople.

The dates are:

Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 8070 Rowan Road, Cranberry Township, to benefit Hosanna Industries

Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, to benefit Chimbote, Peru project as well as the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, to benefit the Salvation Army

Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., both at St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. The Dec. 9 concert will benefit EDCO Pool & Park, and the Dec. 10 concert the choirs.

[naviga:h3]Library hosts mystery dinner[/naviga:h3]

JEFFERSON TWP — A mystery dinner “A Christmas Peril” by Mystery’s Most Wanted will be staged Dec. 2 at the Saxonburg VFW across from Knoch High School.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be at 6 p.m.

The evening is sponsored by the Friends of the South Butler Community Library.
