Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., has in its collection Asian art and pieces of German Meissen porcelain. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advance notice for no extra charge. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th-century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens age 60 and older, and $3 for youths ages 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

PITTSBURGH

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave. in Oakland, will have free admission on Sunday. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except closed Tuesdays and holidays. Extended hours are until 8 p.m. most Thursdays. Admission is $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens age 65 and older, and $11.95 for children 3 to 18. Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park continues “From Maps to Mermaids: Carved Powder Horns in Early America” through Jan. 14. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $4 for retired and active military, and $3.50 for students with a valid ID and children ages 6 to 17. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents “Extraordinary Owls” into the spring. The Aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, Allegheny Square, hosts the collection of new or gently used sweaters of all sizes through Dec. 15 for the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive. The exhibit “Tough Art” continues through Jan. 21. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays. The Children’s Museum will be closed Nov. 23, but have extended hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24. Regular admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children ages 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Carnegie Science Center on the North Side will reopen the Miniature Railroad and Village on Monday with the addition of a model of a Primanti Bros. shop. The Science Center will close at 4 p.m. Nov. 26 and Dec. 10 and will be closed on Nov. 23 and Dec. 17, 25 and 31. Hours for fall and winter are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays.
