WHEELING, Va. — Valencia resident Will King, 23, won his first start with the East Coast Hockey League's Wheeling Nailers Sunday night.

King, 23, made 39 saves in a 5-3 win ovber Norfolk at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling. The Nailers are 7-2-2 on the season.

[naviga:h3]Ex-Butler Y swimmer Marzolf honored[/naviga:h3]

PITTSBURGH — Former Butler YMCA swimmer Mallory Marzolf, as freshman at Chatham University, has been named Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week.

Marzolf took first place in three events at the IUP Crimson Hawk Fall Invitational, including setting a school record time of four minutes, 41.06 seconds in the 400-meter individual medley.

She also won the 100 and 200- meter backstroke events.

[naviga:h3]Butler grad Baxter gets PAC honors[/naviga:h3]

WAYNESBURG — Butler graduate Caleb Baxter, a freshman on the Waynesburg University wrestling team, has received Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

Baxter began his college career by winning the 174-pound weight class at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational. He went 4-0 in that event, winning twice by pin.

Baxter won his first collegiate match with a pin 52 seconds into the match. He won the title match at 174 with a pin in 6:29.
