CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A man is accused of deliberately ramming his car into a vehicle occupied by his estranged wife and her boyfriend.

State police arrested Gregory D. Beer, 47, of Center Township on felony assault and other charges in the pre-dawn vehicular altercation Wednesday on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.

Beer about 4:30 a.m. repeatedly drove his Ford Focus into the back of a Ford Explorer that his wife was driving, according to court documents. Her boyfriend was a passenger in the Explorer.

Police in their criminal complaint noted that Gregory and Christy Beer are married but separated.

The defendant after allegedly hitting his wife's vehicle “numerous times,” followed her into the parking lot of the Sheetz convenience store on Route 68, where he rammed the SUV “several more times.”

Gregory Beer drove away. Police later arrested him at his home, where they found his car in the garage.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
