ADAMS TWP — Opus I Music Society will celebrate “American Music Month” at its program at 9:30 a.m. Monday at LifePointe (formerly Mars) Alliance Church, Route 228. Guests may attend.

The program will be about American composer Meredith Willson, who created “The Music Man,” and a connection to the Beatles.

Opus I Music Society is a member of the Pennsylvania and National Federations of Music Clubs.

[naviga:h3]Sing Hosanna! opens musical[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — The Sing Hosanna! production of “Whistle Down the Wind” by Andrew Lloyd Webber goes on Friday through Sunday at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $15 and not reserved, available at May’s Music Shoppe, or at the show.

[naviga:h3]Christmas market arrives[/naviga:h3]

HARMONY — The annual German-style Christmas Market called WeihnachtsMarkt takes place this weekend in Harmony.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The festival features jury-selected crafts and German entertainment, food and refreshments.

Entertainment includes performances by Karl Lukitsch and The Autobahn Band on Saturday, and Alpen Schuhplattlers of Pittsburgh’s Teutonia Mannerchor on both days.

Visitors can sing carols as the Harmony Museum’s Christmas tree is lighted at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, $3 for students and is free for children and includes the market, museum, entertainment and horse-drawn wagon rides in the National Historic Landmark district.

Proceeds support museum operations.

[naviga:h3]BLT presents comedic farce[/naviga:h3]

Butler Little Theatre’s 77th season continues Nov. 24 with the comedic farce “Boeing, Boeing.”

Dennis Casey is the director. Producers are Sis Fleming and Stephanie Kobil.

The show will go on Nov. 24 to Dec. 2, with curtain at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
