HALLOWEEN PARADE WINNER

The Fisher Wagon entry was the first-place winner in the Evans City Halloween parade on Oct. 27, 1977. The winning float, which received a $15 prize, featured a giant pot of possum stew, a harvest-time project that required constant stirring. Other floats were entered by Bicehouse and Green, which finished second and received $10; and Harmony Junction neighbors, which finished third and won $5. Nongroup awards went to Randy Kight, who won $10, and Bobby and Jodie Brooks, who won $5; and a group consisting of Doug Wagner, Don Ray, Rich Jones and Pete Plaisted, which won $3. Individual prizes of $1 each were presented to several other participants.
