KC will face St. Marys for the district title. The site, time and date have not been determined.

“This was a crazy game, back and forth,” Gremlins coach Jim Grenninger said. “Once we tied it up late, we decided to pack it in and play for the shootout.

“We had been practicing shootouts hard all year.”

Nolan Riley tied the game at one for KC with his fifth goal of the season. He found the net from 30 yards out on a direct kick.

Punxsutawney took the lead again 30 seconds later. Nate Rondinelli scored the Gremlins' final two goals of regulation. The latter knotted the game at three with 4:30 remaining.

Jack Allen's second goal of the year gave Slippery Rock a 1-0 lead before Titusville tied the game before halftime. Duncan Nagy made four saves in goal.

“We beat Titusville 5-0 during the regular season, but we knew it'd be a different game this time,” Rockets coach Kyle Hopkins said.

Slippery Rock plays Mercyhurst Prep in the District 10 2A semifinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.

Saegertown 2, Grove City 1 — The Eagles (9-10) lost this District 10 Class 3A game in overtime when Saegertown (5-12) was awarded a penalty kick close to the net and scored on it.
