Tate Mohney scored all three goals for Butler as the Golden Tornado boys soccer team closed the regular season with a 3-0 win at Mars Wednesday night.

Assists were earned by Luke Shook, Justin Stewart and Tyler Gillis.

Andrew Chwalik was in goal for the shutout.

Butler enters the WPIAL playoffs with an overall record of 13-5, Mars at 10-5-2.

Girls Volleyball

Freeport improved to 15-2 with a non-section sweep of Central Valley.

Hannah Mason dropped 10 kills, eight service points and two aces in the 25-12, 25-19, 25-16 victory.

Ally DeJidas added nine kills and 14 points, Lauren Lampus seven kills, Haley Graham five kills and three blocks and Courtney Grubbs 32 assists for the Yellowjackets.

Girls Soccer

Butler received goals from six different players in a 7-0 win over Penn Hills.

Freshman Gaby Bowden led the barrage with two goals.

Roxy Stalnaker, Liz Simms, Brittnie Spithaler, Aiden Trettel and Abby Hays each added a goal for Butler, which will enter the playoffs with a record of 11-7.

Blackhawk 5, Karns City 1 — Hunter Dittman scored the lone goal for the Gremlins (11-5-1) in their regular season finale.
