FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Ken Metrick is the guest musician and speaker as part of the Harvest Home celebration Sunday at Faith United Presbyterian Church 1329 North Main St. Ext. There is a soup, sandwich and pie buffet lunch after the service.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has a friends and family event and Sunday school activities at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. Children visit different parts of the church for treats as part of the event.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St.

Golden agers are honored at the Sunday worship service. There is a luncheon afterward.

Youths attending the gathering next summer in Houston meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Hill Quilters meet at 9 a.m. Friday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The Rev. James Steiner, interim pastor, leads Sunday worship.

Sunday is the deadline for reservations for the Oct. 29 fifth Sunday luncheon hosted by the deacons.

The library committee meets at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

There is a REMIX event for praise, prayer and study at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, celebrates Heritage Sunday at both services. George Baldrose plays the bagpipes at the 11 a.m. service. There is a dinner following the service to recognize seniors 80 years old and older.

The youth group meets at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Members of Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, peel apples for apple butter starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Apple butter making begins at 6 a.m. Saturday.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Uptown Girls sing during Sunday worship at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St. Plan on coming early that morning. Their music begins at 10:15 a.m.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

Parents’ night out at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Centennial Hall. Register at www.stlks.com.

The contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday includes Communion.

Tailgate for Disaster Relief begins at noon Sunday. Take a favorite dish and recipe to share. The event includes tournaments and games to raise funds for relief efforts. The church accepts donated items until Nov. 10.

The sanctuary is open from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for community prayer and quiet time.

The AM sewing ministry meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

The Rev. Karl Schoch is guest pastor for Saturday and Sunday services at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St.

There is a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall. The youths of St. Mark’s are sponsors of the dinner.

There is a Red Cross blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall.

Eve Bible study is at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the lounge.

The senior Christian luncheon is at noon Wednesday in the fellowship hall.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., celebrates a Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Oct. 29.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, hosts a meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday for those going to the national youth gathering. The meeting includes dinner.

The worship and music committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

There is a release party for the 95 Nails beer from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Snack-N-Pack, 353 E. Jefferson St.

VALENCIA PRESBYTERIAN

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, hosts Lunch with the Bunch after the 11:30 a.m. Sunday service in the fellowship hall. There is a freewill offering for missions.
