SEWICKLEY — George Bilowick of Butler Country Club tied for ninth with a 9-over-par 149 in the Super-Seniors Division of the West Penn Golf Association’s Senior Amateur Tuesday at Allegheny Country Club.

Paul Schlachter of Bridgeville won the event with a 2-under-par 138. Dave DeNezza of Greensburg was second, three strokes back.

Butler Country Club’s Ken Fair shot a 156 in the tournament.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University sophomore place-kicker Jake Chapla has been named PSAC West Special Teams Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Chapla booted a 45-yard field goal and hit all four of his PATs in SRU’s 31-28 win at Mercyhurst.
