A two-vehicle accident resulted in an injury around 5:30 p.m. Monday at 315 N. Main St. in Butler.

Trudy Banks, 69, of Connoquenessing Township was driving a Honda SUV out of an alleyway when the vehicle hit a bicyclist heading north and crossing the alleyway from a sidewalk in front of Citizens Bank.

The woman riding the bicycle suffered injuries and was wearing a neck brace when she was transported by Butler Ambulance Service to a hospital.

Banks said her view was obscured by the brick wall of Citizens Bank, so she did not see the woman coming.

Banks was not injured. There were small scrapes on the SUV.

City police and fire departments were on scene.
