BUTLER TWP — Fire crews and emergency personnel from Butler Township and Butler responded to an accident involving four vehicles on North Main Street Extension near Aldi shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Three people were injured in the accident, according to Lt. Scott Longdon of the City of Butler Fire Department, and two were transported from the scene by ambulance.

Longdon also noted that the accident was the result of a rear-ending.

Two of the vehicles were able to be driven away, but a northbound lane of traffic was closed while crews loaded two SUVs onto tow trucks and removed them from the scene.
