A Clay Township man suffered an apparent overdose at a home on Ziegler Avenue in Butler.

A woman who lives there called 911 to report awakening to find 47-year-old Robert P. Kummer unconscious in a bedroom. She told authorities he had previously consumed a 12-pack of beer and snorted a stamp bag of suspected heroin, according to a police report.

A Butler Ambulance Service crew responded, and Kummer was revived with Narcan. He was subsequently taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
