Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers, 601A Pittsburgh Road, Penn Township, will hold a fall prevention forum on Falls Prevention Awareness Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

The forum will include free fall risk assessments, computerized foot screenings and information on the Solo-Step Balance System. The goal of the event is to empower older adults to stay active, independent and safe in their homes and communities.

Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center is partnering with the National Council on Aging and the Falls Free Coalition to present the event, which is open to the public, health and aging professionals and community leaders.

Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older Americans, the center says.
