BUTLER TWP — New Castle Road will be home to a new Burger King franchise in the coming months, after a project’s land use application received conditional approval from the supervisors Monday night.

The plan is from Patterson-Erie Corp., an Erie-based group that will combine two vacant lots on the 200 block of New Castle Road, said township zoning officer Jessie Hines.

Those parcels, at 208 and 210 New Castle Road, will house a new Burger King franchise that Patterson-Erie plans to construct on the land.

Construction on the project, which is located near other fast foot outlets along the road, like KFC and Wendy’s, is tentatively scheduled for this fall, Hines said.
