“Tree in the Garden” by Gina Judy is a mixed media piece that's part of the annual Nature and Wildlife Show at the Butler Art Center.

More than 80 entries have been submitted for the annual Nature and Wildlife Show at the Butler Art Center.

Participants include half a dozen new artists.

A reception is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the center, 344 S. Main St. Refreshments and music are planned.

Cash and ribbon prizes are planned for Best of Show plus first and second places in these categories: painting, works on paper, photography, craft and sculpture.

The exhibit will continue through Sept. 30.

Regular hours for the Art Center are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
