Jessica and Ryan Neal

Jessica Helen Mathew and Ryan Scott Neal, both of Erie, were united in marriage July 22 at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople. The Rev. Robert M. Miller officiated. A reception followed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh-Cranberry.

The bride is the daughter of Drew and Gert Mathew of Zelienople. Parents of the bridegroom are Duane and Doris Neal of St. Marys.

The matron of honor was Alex Hyland of Charlotte, N.C. Bridesmaids were Angela Terenzio of Pittsburgh, Valerie Rastetter of Alexandria, Va., Nicole Lucey of Cranberry Township, Katelyn Schulmeister of Coraopolis and Ashley Greenthaner of Erie. The bridesman was Shamus O’Donnell of Mars.

Performing the duties of best man was Matt Greenthaner of Erie. Ushers were Joe Anderson of New Market, Va., Josh Challingsworth of Ontario, Ohio, Mike Anderson of St. Marys, Jason Krieg of St. Marys, Jon Gerg of St. Marys and Spencer Mathew of Zelienople.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2011 and from Gannon University in 2016.

She is employed by Harbor Creek School District.

The bridegroom graduated from St. Marys High School in 2007. He graduated from Penn State the Behrend College in 2011.

He is employed by North East School District.

Following a honeymoon trip to Budapest, Vienna and Prague, the couple is making their home in Erie.
