John Capers of Butler, who had been a Realtor in Butler County for more than 60 years, passed away Saturday.

Ron Huber, president of the Butler County Association of Realtors, confirmed Sunday that Capers had died. Huber could not offer details.

He was owner of Capers Real Estate on Pittsburgh Road in Butler.

Capers during his career held local and statewide professional offices and worked with the Pennsylvania Realtors' Political Action Committee, attending many Pennsylvania Association of Realtors conventions.

Capers' funeral and burial arrangements were unknown at press time Sunday night.
