Matthew G. Hibbard, 22, who has no known address, was arrested on charges he entered a home on State Street without the occupants' permission on Saturday.

One of the tenants, a woman, was upstairs taking a shower around 1 p.m. on Aug. 10, when she heard someone outside the bathroom door. She recognized Hibbard's voice, according to court documents, and called her boyfriend on her cell phone.

She stayed in the bathroom until her boyfriend returned home. But by then, the defendant was gone.

Hibbard was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass and a summary charge of criminal mischief. He was released on $6,000 unsecured bail following arraignment.
