7:19 p.m. Monday — Mark A. Dellen II, 27, of Butler suffered an apparent drug overdose at the Butler Beer & Tobacco store on North Main Street.

A medical crew was first to arrive after an unknown 911 caller reported that a man was unconscious but breathing. Paramedics administered Narcan, which revived Dellen, according to a police report.

He refused further treatment at the hospital. Police cited him for public drunkenness.

7:01 p.m. Wednesday — Robert K. Bridges, 48, of Pittsburgh was arrested after he allegedly stiffed a downtown brewery out of an $86 tab.

Bridges on Aug. 8 left the Butler Brew Works on South Main Street without paying for his bill, according to court documents. Police were notified and the defendant returned Wednesday supposedly to make good on what he owed.

His credit card, however, was declined, police said, and he had no other available funds.

Bridges was arraigned on a second-degree misdemeanor count of theft of services, and released on his own recognizance.

9:50 p.m. Saturday — Michael J. Harper, 33, of Butler was caught allegedly exposing himself on Delwood Road. Police were called after a woman, who they did not identify, reported a naked man in a vehicle.

Harper is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.

5:59 p.m. Aug. 8 — Terry L. Shields, 63, of Monroeville, Allegheny County was hurt in a three-vehicle wreck at Meridian and McCalmont roads.

The crash happened when Shields tried to make a left turn in front of oncoming traffic at the intersection, according to a police report. Her car struck a vehicle driven by Shawna Watts, 53, of Valencia.

Shields’ car, in turn was pushed into another vehicle, driven by Linda Stein, 51, of Butler, which was stopped at a stop sign. A Butler Memorial Service crew treated Shields at the scene for apparent minor injuries.

Butler Township Volunteer Fire District 3 firefighters assisted at the scene. Two of the three vehicles had to be towed.

Police cited Shields for making an improper left turn and careless driving.

[naviga:h3]Slippery Rock Police[/naviga:h3]

3 a.m. Saturday — A couple’s night of drinking Black Velvet whiskey ended in their arrest for domestic violence following a fight at their apartment on Kelly Boulevard.

Both suspects — 54-year-old Jeffrey D. Gill and girlfriend 44-year-old Brady Jo Hundley — were also injured in the altercation.

Police said Gill had a bite mark on his left rib cage area. Hundley had bruises on her face and arms. The fight also left the apartment disheveled, with items thrown about the living room and bedroom, according to court documents.

Police gave portable breath tests to both defendants. Gill registered a 0.138 percent blood-alcohol level. Hundley topped that, recording a level of 0.159 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated for drivers.

Gill and Hundley were both arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. They were released on their own recognizance following arraignment.

12:46 a.m. Monday — A father and son were arrested after a domestic dispute at a home on the 700 block of Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township.

The altercation happened after Walter L. Snyder, 61, of Stoneboro, Mercer County, showed up at the home of his son, Austin L. Snyder, 37, “to talk,” according to court documents.

The two men began to argue and the younger Snyder told his father several times to leave. Austin Snyder told troopers that his dad “punched him in the face, grabbed his beard and pushed him down,” documents said.

The elder Snyder recounted that his son “grabbed him by his arm and throat, and punched him in the face,” according to a police affidavit.

Both defendants were arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. Walter Snyder also is charged with defiant trespass. Father and son were released on their own recognizance following arraignment.

July 28 — Darla E. Whitlatch, 54, of Concord Township was charged with drunken driving in connection with a July traffic stop in Center Township. Police said she was pulled over about 1:15 a.m. July 22 on South Benbrook Road at Route 8 for swerving in her lane.

She was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A breath test later showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.146 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

Whitlach is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

July 28 — Police charged a Washington County man with being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license in connection with a June wreck in Fairview Township.

The suspect, Brian K. Strapazzon, 48, of Burgettstown, by the time troopers arrived, had already fled the scene after his car struck a guardrail on Route 268 just south of Kaylor Road, according to court documents.

A witness at the scene identified Strapazzon as the driver. Police said they also found work- and bank-related items belonging to him on the passenger seat.

In addition to his misdemeanor charge as a habitual offender, Strapazzon was cited for nine traffic violations, including hit-and-run, failing to immediately notify police of an accident, abandoning a vehicle on a highway, driving under suspension, driving a vehicle without insurance, careless driving, failing to keep right and two counts of disregarding traffic lanes.
