[naviga:h3]Carnival offers family fun[/naviga:h3]

MARS — Paramount Senior Living at Cranberry, 500 Seven Fields Blvd., will host a fundraising carnival from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event will include a dunk tank, children’s games, bake sale, white elephant sale, balloon artist, raffles, face painting and entertainment. Local singer Hermi Granati will perform at 3 p.m. and WinWin Duouo will perform at 6:30 p.m.

Carnival food will be available and there will be a buffet meal at 6 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Butler County Alzheimer’s walk in September.

[naviga:h3]Preston Park site of butterfly event[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — There will be a community celebration of life and butterfly release from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Preston Park, 415 S. Eberhart Road.

The free community event will feature the Circle of Friends Choirs, Chloe Fritche and the SheLor School of Dance.

Call 724-431-3372 to place a butterfly order. Sept. 1 is the deadline for orders.

Transportation will be available from the parking lots for those who need assistance. Take a blanket or a lawn chair.

HARMONY — The reunion of the one-room schools of Cranberry Township will begin at 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Hartmann’s Waterhole Restaurant, 169 Hartmann Road.

Dinner is Dutch treat for students and families.
