BRADY TWP — A man is accused of pulling a handgun on another man during a weekend altercation at a trailer park in the township.

State police arrested Burton F. Kelly III, 30, on felony assault and weapons charges stemming from the incident Sunday night at the Brady Hills Mobile Home Park.

Police said Kelly, who lives at the trailer park, was in his car about 8:40 p.m. when he allegedly pulled a 9 mm pistol on the other man, who was visiting a friend at the park. No one was injured.

The altercation happened earlier that night when the defendant, while driving his car in the mobile home park, came upon the alleged victim's pickup truck that was partially blocking the road, according to court documents.

Kelly admitted that he blew the horn to get the truck to move, police said. But the victim recounted that he was already moving the truck when the Kelly tooted the horn.

The defendant drove away but returned after stopping at a store. The victim acknowledged that he followed Kelly's truck because he “wanted to see what was wrong” from the previous incident, documents said.

He said he pulled along side the truck and asked what was the matter. The man's friend and two children were also in the truck.

According to Kelly's account, he believed the truck was following him, and he pulled his pistol, telling the occupants in the truck to “go away,” a police affidavit said.

Kelly was arraigned on felony charges of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a concealed carry license.

Additionally, he was arraigned on misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, and a summary charge of harassment.
