I would like to thank the Butler Eagle, Cranberry Eagle and Rachel Wagoner for writing and printing the article about me (“Helping Hands”) in the July 23 edition of both newspapers. My polio story was printed to call attention to the one million polio survivors living in the United States.

Pennsylvania Polio Survivors Network will present an interactive video conference from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Cranberry library. “Post-Polio Care: Past, Present and Future” will feature two polio-care experienced doctors discussing the history of polio, rehabilitation and future treatment for post polio syndrome. A Q&A and socializing will follow.
