Newhaven Court at Clearview, 100 New-haven Lane, will host its annual dog show to benefit Paws Across Pittsburgh from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

All breeds and sizes of dogs are welcome. Each dog must have up-to-date shots and be on a leash.

The Butler County Humane Society also will be there with animals to adopt.

Preregistration is suggested, and all animals must be registered by 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The registration fee benefits Paws Across Pittsburgh.

[naviga:h3]Alameda specials slated this week[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host a showing of “Ice Age Collision Course” from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at Alameda Waterpark at the park at 184 Alameda Park Road.

There will be a fee for nonmembers. This is the final Moonlight Swim and Dive-In Movie of the season.

Discount tickets for amusement parks will be available in the park office through the end of summer.

[naviga:h3]Concordia to host annual dog show[/naviga:h3]

JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia at Cabot Lund Care Center Activities Department will host its 17th annual Dog Show at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lund Care Center backyard, 134 Marwood Road.

“Dog Days of Summer” is free.

It will feature canines owned by Concordia employees, residents and families competing in Best Performer, Best Groomed, Most Obedient and Most Friendly categories. Several Concordia residents will serve as judges.

[naviga:h3]Saeler-Solkovy Memorial Ride set[/naviga:h3]

The 10th annual Saeler-Solkovy Memorial Ride will be Aug. 19 beginning with 9 a.m. registration at the Beer Garden Sports Bar and Grill, 2399 Oneida Valley Road, three miles north of the North Washington Rodeo grounds.

Riders will return to the Beer Garden for a party featuring live music, food, door prizes, a raffle and an auction.

Proceeds will benefit the Lick Hill, Oneida Valley, East Butler, Mercer Road and Saxonburg volunteer fire departments; the Butler, Butler Township and Penn Township police; and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department to help offset the cost of new radio systems.
