Three-vehicle crash closes Rte. 68 bridge
SUMMIT TWP — No one was injured in a three-car crash this afternoon on the Route 68 bridge near the Route 422 interchange.
The three vehicles were traveling eastbound around 4:30 p.m., when traffic slowed, causing a Chevrolet Equinox to rear-end a Ford Focus, which in turn rear-ended a Dodge Caliber, state police at the scene said.
The road was closed for about an hour while the three vehicles were towed, with eastbound traffic being turned around using Delwood Road.
The Butler city, Herman and Lick Hill fire departments responded.
