CRANBERRY TWP — Ryan Stelitano tossed a four-hitter and allowed no earned runs Tuesday night as Cranberry eliminated Meridian, 4-1, in Butler County legion tournament play.

Cranberry’s defense preserved the win in the seventh inning as Danny Jelinek made a diving catch in left field and the infield turned its second double play in as many frames.

Jelinek reached base three times and scored two runs in the game. Meridian’s Sam Gross struck out seven in four innings in a losing cause.

Cranberry plays at West Sunbury at 6:15 p.m. today. That winner will face East Butler on Saturday.
