We spent your birthday loving you and missing you

And remembering the times of your life.

We sang Happy Birthday as your nephew and niece

Blew out the candles on your coconut cream pie;

A three and a six.

As we sat at your grave chilling sadness flowed over me

Until the heat of the sun brought warmth and sent

A deep peace to settle in my heart. I miss you.
