Butler County Historical Society at the Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum, 123 W. Diamond St., hosts “We Can Do It! WWII,” created by the Senator John Heinz History Center, through Aug. 8. Admission is free. Call 724-283-8116 or visit www.butlerhistory.com.

Author and illustrator Terrie Mourningdove of Butler will have a book signing of her newest work, “Observe,” from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Curds and Molds Fromagerie, 259 W. Main St., Saxonburg There will be no parking on Main Street that day due to Saxonburg’s 185th anniversary celebration.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., has tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths age 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, Avella, Washington County, is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, and $7 for children 6 to 17. Call 724-587-3412.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave., presents “The Power of Poison” exhibition through Sept. 4. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
