Girls who were finalists in the 1967 Annual Miss Saxonburg Pageant were ready to don the hats of Saxonburg volunteer firemen, who sponsor the pageant. Eight of the nine finalists attended an orientation meeting under the direction of Mrs. Orene McDivitt, pageant chairman.
