BUTLER TWP — Thursday is the last day to register for the Fun in the Sun free community swim from noon to 6 p.m. July 8 at Alameda Park, 182 Alameda Park Road.

Sponsored by Christ Community United Methodist Church, there will be swimming, food, games and crafts. Dinner will be served from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Masonic Shelter.

All participants must register by 3 p.m. Thursday. To register, call the church at 724-287-4462 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., stop at the church or email churchoffice@zoominternet.net.

Children 12 or younger must be accompanied by an adult (16 or older).

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host “Animal Tracks” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter of Alameda Park, 182 Alameda Park Road.

The program will feature live reptiles and is part of the park’s Outdoor Discovery Series.

PROSPECT — St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 232 N. Franklin St., will have its parish festival from 4 to 10 p.m. July 14 and from 5 to 10 p.m. July 15 with a 4 p.m. Mass celebrated outside.

There will be food, games, a flea market, a basket raffle and live entertainment.

Festival shuttle parking will be at Prospect Presbyterian Church, 229 N. Franklin St.
