Geist wins shot put at USATF meet
Knoch High School graduate and University of Arizona recruit Jordan Geist won the shot put at the USATF 2017 Junior Outdoor Championships Friday in Sacramento, Calif.
Geist’s throw of 69 feet, 4.25 inches beat out runner-up Adrian Piperi’s effort of 68-3.
The performance earns Geist a spot on the U.S. national team at the Pan American Junior Games, to be held in Peru next month.
