Thirty-one students, including Khabir McNary, above, received their high school diplomas Thursday in a graduation ceremony at Summit Academy in Herman. The academy is a private residential school for delinquent young men ages 14 to 18. The students attend school year-round and complete one-and-a-half years' worth of academic study every 12 months. Graduates receive $2,000 scholarships payable to the post-secondary educational program of their choice. Many of the graduates are going on to attend college or will be enlisting in the military.
