Moving forward

Thirty-one students, including Khabir McNary, above, received their high school diplomas Thursday in a graduation ceremony at Summit Academy in Herman. The academy is a private residential school for delinquent young men ages 14 to 18. The students attend school year-round and complete one-and-a-half years' worth of academic study every 12 months. Graduates receive $2,000 scholarships payable to the post-secondary educational program of their choice. Many of the graduates are going on to attend college or will be enlisting in the military. Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch, below, delivered the keynote address.
