A property owner was able to knock down a blaze that damaged the exterior of a garage in Middlesex Township on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. The incident was dispatched at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday for a structure fire at 1219 Pittsburgh Road. Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company Chief Greg Stegman said the incident was a “very minor exterior building fire.” He said the owner had the fire “pretty much” knocked down by the time firefighters arrived, but the fire company utilized a small hand line to put out any hot spots. Property owner Edward Brinko said the fire started in an electrical box in the wall of the building. Middlesex was assisted by Richland Township and Adams Area fire companies, as well as Quality EMS. Crews were on the scene for about 45 minutes.ANDREW CARR/BUTLER EAGLE
