CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Pastor Hughie Orsborne will deliver the message Sunday at both services of Christ Community United Methodist Church 205 North Duffy Road.

The Care Team will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

The NOW Team will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday.

June 29 is the deadline to register for the July 8 Fun In The Sun event.

Pastor Orsborne is the temporary pastor to contact for pastoral care.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

Take a bag with pasta, pasta sauce and paper products for the local food bank to church Sunday. St. Vincent de Paul’s food bank truck will be parked in front of McQuistion Elementary School to receive donations.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have the Noisy Offering of loose change during the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service The offering will contribute to the support of the Refreshing Springs congregation in Ambridge/Aliquippa.

Hymns will be sung during the 10 a.m. service. Leanne Heaton will lead the service.

EAST BUTLER PRESBYTERIAN

The congregation of East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, East Butler, will worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at an outdoor service with the North Butler Presbyterian Church congregation, 137 N. Butler Church Road, Chicora. The regular 9:30 a.m. worship will not be held this week.

FIRST BAPTIST

The Berean Sunday School class social at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Youth Center.

Sunday’s service schedule will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Sunday school classes followed by an 11 a.m. worship service. There will also be a 6 p.m. Sunday worship service.

The Deaf Café will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the youth center. Take your own lunch. There will be fellowship, a devotional, and a speaker.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have a baptism and Holy Communion at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Wil Morrow Memorial Bowl is from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Family Bowlaway, 540 Fairground Hill Road. Proceeds go to the funding of scholarships for bowlers who belong to the Youth Bowling Association.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will have a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank open to the public, will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. No proof of income is required.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., recognizes high school graduates during Sunday worship. Fellowship hour will follow worship.

The Garden Club meets at 9 a.m. June 29 to weed and edge the church property.

Volunteers are needed to host fellowship hour during the summer. The sign-up sheet is on the deacons’ table in the overflow area.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have a special speaker from The Lighthouse organization at both Sunday services.

The A-team will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The Material Girls meet in the Board Room at 9 a.m.

MOUNT CHESTNUT PRESBYTERIAN

Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, will have the ordination and installation service at 5 p.m. Sunday for new pastor, the Rev. Ron Schermerhorn. All are invited to attend. Dinner will immediately follow.

The Mount Chestnut Senior Center will offer its regular program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, with Butler County produce vouchers distributed from 10 a.m. to noon.

NORTH BUTLER PRESBYTERIAN

North Butler Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Butler Church Road, Chicora, will have an outdoor worship service under tents on the church grounds at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with music by the quartet Four for Christ.

The second annual community festival will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, featuring food, music games, a car cruise and fireworks.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have Sunday’s worship service in the pavilion, weather permitting.

Saint Andrews UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The June mission offering of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson St., is Refreshing Springs Ministry, which shepherds some of the economically, physically and socially challenged neighborhoods in Ambridge and Aliquippa.

Bakers are needed. Saint Andrews will be supplying desserts for Meals on Wheels in July. Contact Barb Hutchison with any questions or if you plan to bake in July.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will have the Rev. Dennis E. Protzman as guest minister Sunday.

A summer church picnic is planned Aug. 13. Contact any council memberwith suggestions for the picnic.

Notification will be sent to the members when the Friendly Fellowship Group resumes.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will have 8:15 and 10 a.m. Sunday worship services for the summer.

Anyone wishing to donate to the Junk to Joy sale should contact Gayle Gundlach.

Community Quiet Time is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the sanctuary.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

Guest Pastor Jim Neal will preach at all services this weekend at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St.,

The church office will be closed Tuesday.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., will celebrate a Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome to attend.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service in the picnic pavilion, weather permitting.

The Worship and Music Ministry meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
