The news from South Butler Schools has not been too cheerful of late. However, that changed June 5 at the Knoch Middle School 3K Color Run.

Amidst the thunder, rain and wind, the youthful energhy was quite colorful, with dye packs covering everyone, smiles outdoing the wetness, and squishy mud feet sloshing along the fields and forests.

Wow! What a time! A great cause for all.

As a community suporter and child care worker for the Butler Family YMCA at the South Butler Primary Center, I will be age 70 this summer. I am blessed. Colorful day for a good cause.

Go, kids. Go, dye. Go clean up.
