Lorie Lownds

The GFWC Junior Women’s Club of Butler recently named Lorie Lownds the 2017 Junior Woman of the Year.

Lownds joined the club in 2013 and has been active on the executive board for the 2016-2017 year as the second vice president.

She also served as the friendship and social committee chairman and the membership committee chairman. She recently was recognized by GFWC Pennsylvania for her ability to recruit new members.

Lownds is a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock High School. She is employed by Clay Township as assistant secretary and at Nike as an athlete.

The GFWC Junior Women’s Club of Butler is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international women’s organization.
