Cranberry Township crash slows traffic on Route 19

Firefighters used extrication tools to rescue one person from a Jeep in a three-car collision near North Park Lounge.

A two-car crash has slowed traffic on Route 19 near the North Park Lounge restaurant.

Three people were injured and taken by ambulance to local hospitals, Cranberry Township police said. The extent of their injuries are unknown.

A grey SUV containing a father and son ended up driving over some landscaping in front of the North Park Lounge restaurant. The SUV sustained heavy front-end damage.

A dark-colored Jeep sustained heavy damage and was located on the opposite side of the road at the entrance of Pindroh Brothers Auto Body. The male driver of the Jeep had to be extricated from the vehicle by Cranberry firefighters.

One vehicle turned into the other, police said.

An investigation into how the accident occurred is ongoing, police said.
